aoo 14 --rni 5 <br />Following some discussion, Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the <br />revised plans for the Courthouse, Jail, and Law Enforcement Center, <br />which eliminates driveway access on Horner Boulevard. Commissioner <br />Hall seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Reives, and Stafford <br />Nay: Matthews, Paschal, and Wicker <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a four to <br />three vote. <br />Chairman Stafford recognized Ms. Debbie Davidson of the <br />Department for the Aging, who presented a recommendation from the Lee <br />County Transportation Committee for the distribution of Elderly and <br />Handicapped Transportation Assistance and Medicaid Transportation <br />Assistance funds in the amount of $20,586 as follows: <br />Center for Independent Living - $4,700.00 (E&H TAP) <br />Department <br />for the Aging <br />- 6,369.00 <br />(E&H TAP) <br />Department <br />of Social Services <br />- 2,279.00 <br />(E&H TAP) <br />Lee County <br />Industries <br />- 4,700.00 <br />(E&H TAP) <br />Lee County <br />Health Department <br />- 500.00 <br />(MTAP) <br />Department <br />of Social Services <br />- 2,038.00 <br />(MTAP) <br />Commission Matthews moved to distribute these funds as <br />recommended. Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board then considered recommendations from the Planning <br />Board. Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the recommendations of the <br />Planning Board for the following requests: <br />1. Approval of a rezoning petition submitted by A&W Investment <br />Group to change the zoning classification of approximately 107 acres <br />of land located on the southern side of Sheriff Watson Road beginning <br />at a point approximately 500 feet west from the intersection of <br />Sheriff Watson Road and Edwards Road from Residential Agricultural <br />District to Residential Mixed District. <br />2. Approval of a rezoning petition submitted by Donald and <br />Patricia Austin to rezone a total of 31.5 acres of land located at <br />2016 and 2024 Boone Trail Road (US 421 North) from Residential <br />Restricted District to Light Industrial District. <br />3. Approval of a rezoning petition submitted by Edward Thomas <br />Hall to rezone a 1.622 acre portion of land located on the eastern <br />5 <br />
