~60K 14 Fp„_ 160 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, December 2, 1991 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 o'clock A.M. on <br />Monday, December 2, 1991, in the Commissioners' Room on the second <br />floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, <br />North Carolina. Those present were: Commissioners Albert L. Cox, <br />Bobby R. Hall, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. <br />Reives, William C. Stafford, Jr., and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman <br />Stafford declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided, and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. <br />Commissioners Reives, Hall, and Paschal expressed their <br />appreciation to the other Commissioners, the County Staff, and the <br />citizens of Lee County for their support and encouragement during <br />their first year in office. <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the November 18, <br />1991, meeting. Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the draft to be <br />recorded as the official minutes. Commissioner Hall seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman announced that the next order of business was the <br />election of a Chairman. The County Attorney distributed ballots, and <br />after they were marked and signed, when counted the results were as <br />follows: <br />1 <br />
