ear; 1:1 , 188 <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to enter into executive session to <br />discuss a personnel matter. Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously, and <br />the Board convened in the Board of Education Conference Room for an <br />executive session. Following the Board's discussion in executive <br />session, Commissioner Matthews moved to close the executive session. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously, and <br />the public session resumed. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to upgrade a Clerk Typist III position in <br />the Water Department from half time to full time at $15,770 a year. <br />Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to prohibit smoking in the corridors <br />and in the courtrooms of the Lee County Courthouse and to direct the <br />County Manager to post signs in these specific areas stating "No <br />Smoking Area". Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stafford <br />Nay: Wicker <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />vote. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />Commissioner Cox moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Paschal <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />0 <br />
