eona, 14 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, January 6, 1992 <br />******W*W:K*******W~*~*-K****W.H:*:I:~:****=t*-k**~*****N,Y=*%,***T*~*******~,K~W. ~Y• <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 A_M. on Monday, <br />January 6, 1992, in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of <br />the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North <br />Carolina. Those present were: Commissioners Albert L. Cox, Bobby R. <br />Hall, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, <br />William C. Stafford, Jr., and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Stafford <br />declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of <br />business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided, and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by county Attorney K. R. Hoyle. <br />Chairman Stafford asked the following individuals to be <br />responsible for delivering the invocation for the upcoming monthly <br />meetings: <br />County Attorney Hoyle <br />Commissioner Paschal <br />Commissioner Wicker <br />Commissioner Matthews <br />Commissioner Stafford <br />Commissioner Cox <br />Commissioner Hall <br />Commissioner Reives <br />County Manager William K <br />- January <br />- February <br />- March <br />April <br />- May <br />- June <br />- July <br />- August <br />Cowan - September <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the December 16, <br />1991, meeting. Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the minutes as the <br />official record of said meeting. Commissioner Wicker seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously <br />Chairman Stafford stated that the Sanford Area Chamber of <br />Commerce requested that he appoint two members to serve on the newly <br />formed Economic Strategy Steering Committee. He announced that <br />Commissioner Cox and Mr. Gerald Listenbee will serve as members on <br />1 <br />
