0 0 <br />wc~) 1-1 198 <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman recognized Ms. Osa Palmer, Chairman of the Senior <br />Citizens Board, who presented proposed policies and procedures for <br />governing the use of The Enrichment Center of Lee County as follows: <br />Enrichment Center of Lee County <br />Policies and Procedures for Use of Facility <br />A. Availability of Facility <br />1. Priority use will be given to events and services offered by Lee <br />County Department for the Aging in keeping with the mission of the <br />Department. All other scheduling will be on a first come first serve <br />basis no more than four months in advance. <br />2. The Enrichment Center of Lee County is available for meetings anc <br />events at no charge to groups or sponsoring organizations during <br />regular business hours, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. <br />3. The Enrichment Center Grand Hall (seats 265) is available for <br />lease by Lee County organizations, groups, and individuals after <br />business hours. <br />4. Other areas of the building are available for rent by small <br />community groups after business hours. <br />5. The Enrichment Center of Lee County will not be leased to any <br />group or organization for commercial enterprise or proprietary gain. <br />B. Procedures for Scheduling Use of The Enrichment Center <br />1. Coordination for scheduling the rental and use of facility will <br />be through the Department for the Aging staff. <br />2. All groups or individuals must complete a facility use request <br />form which may be obtained by calling the Department for the Aging <br />Monday through Friday, between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Request forms <br />should be submitted no less than two weeks prior to the event. <br />3. The length of time the facilities will be in use must be <br />scheduled at the time of request and adhered to during the event. No <br />events may occur before 7:00 A.M. or after 12:00 midnight. <br />4. The Lee County Department for the Aging reserves the right to <br />refuse any request for use of The Enrichment Center based on the <br />concern for the health, safety, and welfare of the user, invited <br />guests, or the general public, as well as the protection and security <br />of the building. <br />2 <br />
