0 0 <br />ena~ 1.1 251 <br />medical services to jail inmates, a copy of which is attached to <br />these minutes, and upon this reference, made a part hereof. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stafford <br />Nay: Wicker <br />vote. <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to recess the meeting for dinner and <br />to reconvene at 7:00 P.M. for the scheduled public hearing at the Lee <br />County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, in the Commissioners' Room <br />on the second floor. Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Upon reconvening at 7:00 P.M. and with all Commissioners <br />present, Chairman Stafford reported to the audience the action taken <br />on the Deep River School issue by the Board of Commissioners earlier <br />in the meeting. He advised all those who wished to view the drawing <br />of the options, which were presented by Mr. Larry Thomas also earlier <br />in the meeting, to meet with County Manager Cowan Tuesday, February <br />18, 1992, at 10:00 A.M. in the Commissioners' Room at the Lee County <br />Government Center, at 106 Hillcrest Drive. <br />Commissioner Hall moved to open the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited the Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for a joint public hearing. Mr. Leonard Barefoot, <br />Planning Director, presented the petition submitted by Mr. William <br />Kottcamp to rezone 1.705 acres of land located on the eastern side of <br />Colon Road at the southwestern corner of Colon Road and Birchard Road <br />from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial <br />Conditional Use District. The petitioner- proposes to locate a flea <br />market (indoors and outdoors) on the property. <br />Mr. William Kottcamp, owner of the property in question, spoke <br />in favor of the request and answered questions from the Boards. <br />After all persons had been given an opportunity to speak on this <br />request, Mr. Barefoot presented drawings of the property and answered <br />4 <br />
