Commissioner Paschal moved to <br />allocate up to $25,000 from the general fund balance to perform the <br />clean-up project as recommended by the Finance Committee. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Airport <br />Commission to allocate $1000 to complete Tree Clearing Project Number <br />9.9454920. Commissioner Hall moved to grant the request. <br />Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: Cox and Reives <br />vote. <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a majority <br />The Board reviewed three requests from the Recreation <br />Department. The Finance Committee recommended to appropriate $500 <br />from local matching grant funds to install panic bars on hallway <br />doors at the Community Arts Center. Commissioner Hall moved to adopt <br />the Finance Committee's recommendation. Commissioner Paschal <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request for an appropriation for the <br />Youth Baseball Program in the amount of $9,000. Local sponsors will <br />contribute $3,000; the remaining $6553.20 would have to be <br />transferred from the general fund to the Recreation Department's <br />capital outlay budget. Commissioner Reives reported that the Finance <br />Committee directed that a participation fee be assessed in the <br />1992-93 fiscal year in the amount of $5.00 per participant. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to adopt the request to appropriate <br />$6553.20 for the program. Chairman Stafford seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />9 <br />
