That a copy of this resolutuion be spread upon the <br />minutes of the March 9, 1992, meeting of the Board and a framed copy <br />be furnished to the Principal of Lee Senior High School. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Yellow Jackets Coach Ken Miller and some of the team members <br />were recognized. Commissioner Paschal moved to adopt the following <br />resolution: <br />Whereas, the Lee Senior High School Yellow Jackets basketball <br />team defeated the Richmond County High School basketball team by the <br />score of 54-39, to win the Southeastern Conference Tournament <br />Championship; and <br />Whereas, the Yellow Jackets compiled a season's record of <br />twenty-three wins and two losses; and <br />Whereas, the Yellow Jackets will now enter the 4-A state <br />basketball play-offs; and <br />Whereas, the Board of Commissioners desires to publicly <br />acknowledge the achievements of the team and to thank them for the <br />recognition they have brought to Lee County; <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved as follows: <br />Section 1. The Board extends its congratulations to Coach Ken <br />Miller, his staff, and the entire squad of the Yellow Jacket <br />basketball team upon its successful season. <br />Section 2.
