0 0 Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County as follows: 1. That it congratulates those citizens of Lee County who participated in the Adopt-A-Highway Project and made such a valuable contribution of community service that it merited recognition by the Governor's Highway Beautification council. 2. That a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting as a permanent record of the contribution of these citizens to Lee County. 3. That the County Manager be directed and authorized to display the plaque awarded to those volunteers in some suitable location within the Lee County Government Center. 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect after adoption. Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the resolution. Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. County Manager Cowan reported that the Board's consideration of applying for a grant to widen South Horner Boulevard between Bragg Street and the Lee County Courthouse should be postponed due to the Department of Transportation's reconsideration of how to utilize these high hazard traffic projects. The Department of Transportation is focusing only on those projects which can be completed in the same year. The Board then considered Johnston-Lee Community Action's Anti-Poverty Plan, a copy of which is attached to these minutes, and by this reference, made a part hereof. After the figure 111350" in the last line on page 16 of the plan was changed to 1169311, Commissioner Cox moved to adopt the plan as corrected.
