W <br />nc <br />Nay: Wicker <br />0 <br />The chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a majority <br />vote. <br />Commissioner Hall moved the adoption of the following: <br />Resolution Designating an ADA Coordinator <br />Be it resolved as follows: <br />Section I. Billy Ray Cameron is hereby designated as ADA <br />Coordinator for Lee County, North Carolina, to coordinate and <br />implement compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of <br />1990, by all commissions, departments, agencies and employees of Lee <br />County. <br />Section II. This designation is effective as of January 26, <br />1992, and any and all action taken by Mr. Cameron in such capacity is <br />hereby ratified, approved and adopted. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by the <br />affirmative votes of a majority of the Board. <br />The Board considered the following resolution: <br />Whereas, the State of North Carolina has encouraged its citizens <br />to assist in highway beautification; and <br />Whereas, the citizens of Lee County have responded in an <br />admirable fashion; and <br />Whereas, the highway beautification activities of the <br />Adopt-A-Highway Volunteers from Lee County have been recognized by <br />the Governor's Highway Beautification Council which awarded them a <br />plaque for outstanding community service; <br />Whereas, the Board of Commissioners for Lee County desires to <br />record in its minutes the achievements of this group of dedicated <br />volunteers and to extend to them the Board's sincere appreciation of <br />their contribution to Lee County; <br />12 <br />
