Cn? 11, ;"s: 620 <br />(b) A vehicle maintenance file will be maintained in the <br />garage and available for inspection by any designated County <br />employee. <br />(c) A written notice shall be sent to department heads <br />of the need to schedule preventive maintenance for vehicles <br />every 3,000 miles in a sufficient period of time in advance <br />of reaching that state to allow department heads to schedule <br />such maintenance with a minimum of disruption of the <br />department operations. This provision is contingent upon the <br />County's purchase of gasoline. <br />(d) Assistance by the Shop Superintendent in the <br />preparation of Specifications for items to be purchased and <br />advise to department heads on the condition of equipment. <br />(e) Assistance by the Shop Superintendent in purchasing <br />items through State contract. <br />(f) Provide two (2) vehicles to field service City <br />and County vehicles as needed. <br />(g) Perform North Carolina Certified Vehicle <br />Inspections. <br />7. City agrees to hold an annual public auction for the sale <br />of surplus vehicles and equipment during the month of May or June <br />and to make the participation in the auction available to the <br />County. <br />8. City agrees to furnish an area, one (1) acre in size, <br />immediately adjacent to the Public Works Service Center for <br />installation of a Gas Distribution Canter. The center shall be <br />installed jointly by the County, Lee County School Board, and City <br />with each paying one-third of the total cost. The center will be <br />an EPA approved center ae outlined in Exhibit (D) and will include <br />a computer link to the City's maintenance facility. <br />9. County specifically agrees to the following <br />conditions: <br />(a) County shall purchase and install, at its expense, for <br />use by the City in the operation of the garage and subject to the <br />approval of the Shop. Superintendent, the following items: <br />(i) One (1) twin post lift and a second in-ground twin <br />post lift if determined necessary by workload. <br />(ii) Four (d) dispensers for dispensing of oil, <br />hydraulic oil, gear oil, and grease. <br />(b) County agrees to furnish the Shop Superintendent names <br />and telephone numbers of County department heads to be contacted <br />for servicing vehicles and billing; a list of every vehicle to be <br />maintained; description of vehicles and departments assigned; and <br />vehicle service records and parts manuals. <br />(e) County shall cooperate with the Shop Superintendent by <br />making the vehicles available for repair as promptly as possible <br />or as scheduled. <br />(d) County shall remove any vehicle which has been repaired <br />or may be obstructing the garage area in a reasonable time after <br />notification by the Shop Superintendent. <br />(a) County agrees to pay the City the agreed upon rates, as <br />stated in the attached Garage Maintenance Rates (Exhibit C), for <br />all maintenance and services performed pursuant to this agreement <br />subject to change in said rate, as hereinafter set forth. <br />7~ <br />
