Cn? 11, ;"s: 620 (b) A vehicle maintenance file will be maintained in the garage and available for inspection by any designated County employee. (c) A written notice shall be sent to department heads of the need to schedule preventive maintenance for vehicles every 3,000 miles in a sufficient period of time in advance of reaching that state to allow department heads to schedule such maintenance with a minimum of disruption of the department operations. This provision is contingent upon the County's purchase of gasoline. (d) Assistance by the Shop Superintendent in the preparation of Specifications for items to be purchased and advise to department heads on the condition of equipment. (e) Assistance by the Shop Superintendent in purchasing items through State contract. (f) Provide two (2) vehicles to field service City and County vehicles as needed. (g) Perform North Carolina Certified Vehicle Inspections. 7. City agrees to hold an annual public auction for the sale of surplus vehicles and equipment during the month of May or June and to make the participation in the auction available to the County. 8. City agrees to furnish an area, one (1) acre in size, immediately adjacent to the Public Works Service Center for installation of a Gas Distribution Canter. The center shall be installed jointly by the County, Lee County School Board, and City with each paying one-third of the total cost. The center will be an EPA approved center ae outlined in Exhibit (D) and will include a computer link to the City's maintenance facility. 9. County specifically agrees to the following conditions: (a) County shall purchase and install, at its expense, for use by the City in the operation of the garage and subject to the approval of the Shop. Superintendent, the following items: (i) One (1) twin post lift and a second in-ground twin post lift if determined necessary by workload. (ii) Four (d) dispensers for dispensing of oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, and grease. (b) County agrees to furnish the Shop Superintendent names and telephone numbers of County department heads to be contacted for servicing vehicles and billing; a list of every vehicle to be maintained; description of vehicles and departments assigned; and vehicle service records and parts manuals. (e) County shall cooperate with the Shop Superintendent by making the vehicles available for repair as promptly as possible or as scheduled. (d) County shall remove any vehicle which has been repaired or may be obstructing the garage area in a reasonable time after notification by the Shop Superintendent. (a) County agrees to pay the City the agreed upon rates, as stated in the attached Garage Maintenance Rates (Exhibit C), for all maintenance and services performed pursuant to this agreement subject to change in said rate, as hereinafter set forth. 7~
