Department of Human Resources Advanced Life Support Medical Director's Handbook with the understanding that the Service is already established and that the director is responsible for review and update of the medical aspects of the Service. At such time as the Service and the Medical Director are prepared to initiate the development of a more advanced life support program, the Service and the Physician will review the time commitment and compensation and may amend this agreement. It is also understood that the Service's manager and training coordinator are responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and continuing education of the technicians under the supervision of the Medical Director. Medical Director shall maintain professional liability insurance in the amount of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000) coverage and shall furnish County with a certificate of insurance. 3. Responsibilities of the Service: The Service agrees to follow the regulations and guidelines as outlined by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services and according to North Carolina law. 4.
