Department of Human Resources Advanced Life Support Medical <br />Director's Handbook with the understanding that the Service is <br />already established and that the director is responsible for review <br />and update of the medical aspects of the Service. At such time as <br />the Service and the Medical Director are prepared to initiate the <br />development of a more advanced life support program, the Service and <br />the Physician will review the time commitment and compensation and <br />may amend this agreement. It is also understood that the Service's <br />manager and training coordinator are responsible for recruiting, <br />hiring, training and continuing education of the technicians under <br />the supervision of the Medical Director. Medical Director shall <br />maintain professional liability insurance in the amount of at least <br />one million dollars ($1,000,000) coverage and shall furnish County <br />with a certificate of insurance. <br />3. Responsibilities of the Service: The Service agrees to follow <br />the regulations and guidelines as outlined by the North Carolina <br />Office of Emergency Medical Services and according to North Carolina <br />law. <br />4. Either party may terminate this agreement immediately in <br />the event of a material breach of this agreement by the other <br />party. <br />
