0 0 a3
aoa{ 1~;+s 599
In a new sponsorship agreement to be drawn, the sale and funds from
the sale of "Super Passes" --$50/yr for unlimited use of the tennis
courts--will now be handled and kept by the P&R Dept, not LCTA. Only
about 12 passes were sold in 1991. P&R will continue the sale of the
passes, making an effort to sell more of them.
If the swim coach of the Sanford Swim Team chooses not to instruct
one class each session of P&R's Learn-to-Swim program, an optional
$300 fee is assessed.
1991 was the first year of paid use by the Sandsharks swim team.
Since no similar group, local or otherwise, had been charged for use
of O.T. Sloan pool, the P&R Board assessed this fee based on an
estimated cost/hour of operation for the pool. If the Sanford Swim
Team is now charged for use of the pool, Federal guidelines mandate
that we cannot charge out-of-county groups more than 2X the standard
price assessed in-county groups. (Sloan Park utilized federal
matching grant funds).
Because of admitted infrequent use/need of the office space, it
is the recommendation of the Board that no space be designated for
the Boy Scouts (freeing up the space for other rental or use) and the
infrequent need be accommodated free using a classroom or other room
in the Arts Center.
