a 0 <br />Boos 14 pr-t,r 6-68 <br />The Board considered a $12,000 appropriation for the <br />installation of a twin post lift and oil dispensers at the City of <br />Sanford Garage Facility. Commissioner Paschal made a motion to <br />appropriate money for the installation. Commission Hall seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />Vice Chairman Cox ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Region J, EMS Advisory <br />Council. Landis Phillips, Jean Georgiou, Joel Jackson and Montika <br />Watson had been recommended. Commissioner Hall made a recommendation <br />to appoint the above individuals to the Council. Commissioner <br />Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />Vice Chairman Cox ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board discussed appointments to fill expired terms for <br />Boards and Commissions in the county. After some discussion it was <br />decided that an ad would be run in the newspaper and appointments <br />would be made at the June 15, 1992, Board of Commissioners meeting. <br />Commissioner Cox made a motion to adopt the recommendation. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />Vice Chairman Cox ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution endorsing the passage of HB <br />916 in the short session of the 1992 General Assembly. After some <br />discussion Commissioner Hall made a motion to adopt the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the General Assembly has enacted in recent years <br />several bills which reduced the revenues available to local <br />governments in this State; and <br />WHEREAS, the General Assembly initially provided <br />reimbursement to compensate local governments for legislative action <br />reducing local revenues such as: <br />(a) for repealed taxes on intangible personal property; <br />8 <br />
