After some discussion Commissioner Cox made a motion <br />to approve health/life insurance coverage for the Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Hall <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a majority <br />vote of five to one. <br />The Board consider authorization to seek architect services for <br />the proposed Lee County Operations Center. Mr. William Cowan, County <br />Manager, and Mr. K. R. Hoyle, County Attorney, explained the <br />procedures involved in the formal bid process. After some discussion <br />Commissioner Cox made a motion to advertise for architectural <br />services. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox made a motion to go into executive session to <br />discuss a land acquisition matter. Commissioner Reives seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the Board was in executive session. Following the Board's discussion <br />in executive session, commissioner Cox moved that the executive <br />session be closed. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a motion to rent a bay and four office <br />spaces from D & D Glass Company on McIver Street for the temporary <br />housing of the Maintenance Department for $900.00 per month (which <br />would also include utilities). After some discussion Commissioner <br />Hall made a motion to rent space from D & D Glass Company for $900.00 <br />per month. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />5 <br />
