Mr. Marshall Downey, Assistant Director of Planning and Development stated that the <br />North Carolina Division of Emergency Management recently conducted a Community Assistance Visit <br />� . <br />for the City of Sanford as part of the National Flbod °I nsurance Program (NFIP). The purpose of the visit <br />was to ensure that local officials have appropriate ruled - cedures in place to ensure compliance <br />with the NFIP. Several recommended changes to A ticle 1 of the Unified Development Ordinance <br />(UDO) came as a result of the meeting. Mr. Downey discussed recommended changes per sections of <br />the UDO and answered questions from the Board.
