After some <br />discussion Commissioner Paschal made a motion to award contracts to <br />the following low bidders: <br />GENERAL CONSTRUCTION - Armada/Hoffler Construction - $6,057,000 <br />LANDSCAPE DEVELOPMENT - Davis Landscape, Inc. - $111,055 <br />PLUMBING SERVICES - Wilmington Piping, Inc. - $415,600 <br />ELECTRICAL - Watson Electrical Construction Company - $756,000 <br />FOOD SERVICE - Thompson & Little, Inc. - $93,659 <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. William Lawrence, representing the Downtown Redevelopment <br />Program, spoke briefly to the Board asking them to please reconsider <br />putting money back in the budget for this program. <br />The Board considered a Developer Extension Agreement with Willie <br />Stone. After some discussion Commissioner Wicker moved for Lee <br />County to act as a collection agent to collect approximately $13,000 <br />for a water extension line. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation to make repairs to well #8 <br />after watching a video presented by Bob Joyce, Administrative <br />Services Director, which showed cracks and breaks in the wall of the <br />well at various depths. The well had been contaminated in October, <br />1991, but no bad water went to any households because the well had <br />3 <br />
