Nov f PuE 792 <br />03 <br />Secondary Road Construction Fund <br />Estimated Cost & Allocation - $25,000 <br />PRIORITY 21 - Survey, Right of Way Acquisition, Grade, <br />Drain, Base, Pave, and Erosion Control - SR 1139 from NC 87 to Dead <br />End - 0.30 miles <br />Secondary Road Construction Fund <br />Estimated Cost & Allocation - $30,000 <br />PRIORITY 22 - Survey, Right of Way Acquisition, Grade, <br />Drain, Base, Pave, and Erosion Control - SR 1357 from SR 1333 to Dead <br />End - 0.25 miles <br />Secondary Road Construction Fund <br />Estimated Cost & Allocation - $25,000 <br />BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Division of Highways of the <br />Department of Transportation proceed with the above projects and <br />other Secondary Road Construction Projects as prioritized by the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation as far as the Secondary <br />Road Allocations for Fiscal Year 1992-93 will allow. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered awarding the bid for the HVAC work for the <br />courthouse/jail project. Mr. Ed Fitchett, and Mike Ward from <br />Stuart-Fitchett & Associates answered questions from the Board. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to reject all bids received for the HVAC <br />work and rebid this project. The Chairman ruled that Commissioner <br />Paschal's motion died for lack of a second. After more discussion, <br />Commissioner Hall moved to accept the bid from Cooper Oil Company, <br />Inc. of Sanford, which includes base bid, alternate M-1 and alternate <br />M-2 (using Honeywell automatic temperature control systems). <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: Paschal <br />vote. <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a six to one <br />The Board considered the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) <br />Program administered by the Department of Senior Services. Pam <br />Adams, Director of Senior services, requested the Board approve a <br />3 <br />
