BOOK 14 Pns~ 900 3 <br />Chairman Stafford gave a brief summary of a recent meeting he <br />had attend concerning the revaluation of the schedule of values. <br />After some discussion Commissioner Hall moved for the Board to <br />rescind the public hearing scheduled for September 21, 1992. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a bid award for the new landfill dozer. <br />Bids received were from the following: <br />E.F. Craven <br />Gregory Poole <br />R.W. Moore <br />$103,933.17 <br />113,225.00 <br />164,884.50 <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to accept the low bid from E.F. Craven for <br />$103,933.17. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Corrective Action Plan involving the <br />installation of a Vapor Extraction System (VES) at the county's <br />former maintenance facility located at 1305 Elm Street. After some <br />discussion, commissioner Paschal moved to approve the plan at an <br />estimated cost of $25,805.00. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered zoning recommendations of the Planning <br />Board. Mr. Leonard Barefoot, Director of Planning presented several <br />recommendations from the Planning Board. He stated the Planning <br />Board unanimously recommended approval of Sandra Thomas's petition to <br />rezone 1.16 acres of land on the western side of Highway 87 South at <br />100 Winstead Road from Residential Restricted District to Highway <br />Commercial Conditional Use District for the location of a commercial <br />3 <br />
