I <br />nbU 14 8% <br />D] <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />V <br />TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 1992 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, <br />September 8, 1992, in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners Albert L. Cox, Bobby R. Hall, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, William C. Stafford, Jr., and <br />Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum present and <br />the meeting open for transaction of business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />Rev. Beth Hackney, Associate Pastor of St. Luke United Methodist <br />Church delivered the invocation. <br />The following individuals will be responsible for delivering the <br />invocation for the upcoming monthly meetings: <br />County Attorney K.R. Hoyle <br />October, 1992 <br />Commissioner <br />Ed Paschal <br />November, 1992 <br />Commissioner <br />Gordon Wicker <br />December, 1992 <br />Commissioner <br />Bert Matthews <br />January, 1993 <br />Commissioner <br />William Stafford Jr. <br />February, 1993 <br />Commissioner <br />Robert Reives <br />March, 1993 <br />Commissioner <br />Jack Dossenbach, Jr. <br />April, 1993 <br />Commissioner <br />Hubert Garner <br />May, 1993 <br />County Manager William Cowan <br />June, 1993 <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the August 18, <br />24, and 26, 1992 meetings. After noting a correction, Commissioner <br />Hall moved to adopt the minutes as amended as the official record of <br />said meetings. Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />1 <br />
