20 <br />SOD ( Pt,C~ 557 <br />Commissioner Hall moved to purchase modems for the Board of <br />Elections to link all voting tabulators to the Elections Office at a <br />cost of $8,000, subject to the approval of the Board of Elections. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered paving lots located on the north/west side <br />of the existing courthouse as soon as possible. Mr. William Cowan, <br />County Manager discussed with the Board and answered questions of the <br />Board concerning this matter. After some discussion commissioner <br />Hall moved to go ahead and pave the north/west lots and allow parking <br />on the lots, with the exception of heavy trucks, and not allow the <br />area to be used as a staging area by the contractor. Commissioner <br />Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />Commissioner Hall moved to adjourn the meeting.
