Bids <br />accepted for this project and will be opened at <br />17, 1992. <br />The Board considered a matching grant application for $3,000.00 <br />from Friends of the Park for the Park Avenue Park tennis court <br />project. After some discussion Commissioner Garner moved to approve <br />the matching grant application. Commissioner Reives seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered recommendations of the Planning Board. Mr. <br />Leonard Barefoot, Planning Director presented to the Board the <br />following recommendations: <br />1. The Department of Transportation has agreed to consider <br />the addition of Wendy Lane (off Deep River Road) to the Department of <br />Transportation's (DOT's) system for maintenance at the December 14, <br />1992, meeting of the Highway Commission. The Planning Board <br />recommended the petition be forwarded to Aberdeen with a favorable <br />recommendation. Commissioner Dossenbach recommended the petition be <br />forward to Aberdeen and submitted to the Department of <br />Transportation. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />2. Roy Cox, an alternate Planning Board member, was <br />recently appointed by the Board of Commissioners to serve as Lee <br />County's representative to the Ft. Bragg/Pope Air Force Base Regional <br />Land Use Advisory Commission. Mr. Cox has informed the Planning <br />5 <br />
