Commissioner Garner's motion died for lack of a second. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to officially express to the Sanford <br />Advancement Center concern about the ease in which prisoners appear <br />to be able to walk out of and into the prison unit. The Board of <br />commissioners will be willing to work with the Sanford Advancement <br />Center in any way they can concerning this problem. Commissioner <br />Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman appointed Commissioners Garner and Wicker to work on a <br />committee to share concerns of the Board of Commissioners to the <br />Sanford Advancement Center and work with them on this issue. <br />Commissioner Matthews had to leave the meeting at this time due <br />to another meeting. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to enter into executive session to <br />discuss a contractual matter. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the Board was in executive session. Following the Board's discussion <br />in executive session Commissioner Paschal moved the executive session <br />be closed. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved that Commissioner Paschal and Stafford <br />be appointed to work with the Chatham County Board of Commissioners <br />concerning the proposed Chatham/Lee County Landfill.
