That a certified copy of this resolution be furnished <br />to the officials of the Johnston-Lee Community Action. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews gave an update on the recent meeting of <br />the Building, Grounds and Utilities Committee. Some concerns were <br />expressed concerning a request to begin foreclosure proceedings on <br />property owners which are delinquent in payment of special <br />assessments. The committee had recommended that the Tax <br />Administrator begin the foreclosure procedure. This will be <br />discussed in more detail at the next Board of Commissioners meeting. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Senior Services <br />Advisory Commission due to the resignation of Glenn York. <br />Commissioner Wicker nominated Richard Branch to fill the unexpired <br />term of Glenn York. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request by the North Carolina Association <br />of County Commissioners' Board of Directors to contribute to a Human <br />Services automation feasibility study to be conducted by the <br />Department of Human Resources. After some discussion commissioner <br />Reives moved to approve $934.00 for the funding of the Department of <br />Social Services automation feasibility study. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved that the Board take the first fifteen <br />(15) minutes of each meeting to hear informal comments from the <br />12 <br />ld~ <br />
