That it hereby expresses to him its appreciation for <br />the superior manner in which he performed his duties as Director of <br />Planning for Lee County; <br />3. That it wishes for him continued success in all of his <br />future endeavors. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the above resolution. <br />Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a resolution to support Johnston-Lee <br />Community Action's efforts to extend Head Start Programs in Lee <br />County. Commissioner Matthews moved to accept the following <br />resolution: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING <br />OF APPLICATION BY JOHNSTON-LEE COMMUNITY ACTION <br />FOR STATE FUNDS TO PURCHASE MODULAR CLASSROOMS <br />TO EXPAND HEAD START PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the Board has been advised that the Johnston-Lee <br />Community Action has the opportunity to apply for state funds to <br />purchase modular classrooms to provide additional space to expand its <br />Head Start Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners has expressed its <br />support of such application on December 7, 1992; and <br />WHEREAS, the application for such funds requires the approval <br />and support of this Board; <br />NOW, THEREFORE Be It Resolved, by the Board of Commissioners for <br />Lee County as follows: <br />1. That the application by the appropriate officials of <br />Johnston-Lee Community Action for state funds to purchase modular <br />classrooms to expand the Head Start Program is hereby authorized and <br />approved. <br />2. This resolution shall be in effect immediately upon its <br />adoption. <br />11 <br />
