® gooK 1~ F 9n9 i MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETI NG OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1992 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, December 7, 1992, in the commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present J were Commissioners Albert L. Cox, Bobby R. Hall, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, William C. Stafford, Jr., and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum present and the meeting open for transaction of business. Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided and the following business was transacted: Commissioner Gordon Wicker delivered the invocation. The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the November 16, 1992 meeting. After noting a change, Commissioner Hall moved to adopt the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. There being no old business to come before the Board, Commissioner Hall moved to recess the meeting to the Lee County Civic Center for the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected County commissioners and reception. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The meeting reconvened in the Lee County Civic Center at 9:30 A.M. for the purpose of inducting into office the officials elected 1
