® <br />gooK 1~ F 9n9 <br />i <br />MINUTES <br />OF THE REGULAR MEETI <br />NG <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE <br />COUNTY OF <br />LEE, STATE OF NORTH <br />CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1992 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, <br />December 7, 1992, in the commissioners' Room, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />J were Commissioners Albert L. Cox, Bobby R. Hall, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, William C. Stafford, Jr., and <br />Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum present and <br />the meeting open for transaction of business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Gordon Wicker delivered the invocation. <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the November 16, <br />1992 meeting. After noting a change, Commissioner Hall moved to <br />adopt the minutes as the official record of said meeting. <br />Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no old business to come before the Board, <br />Commissioner Hall moved to recess the meeting to the Lee County Civic <br />Center for the swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected County <br />commissioners and reception. Commissioner Matthews seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The meeting reconvened in the Lee County Civic Center at 9:30 <br />A.M. for the purpose of inducting into office the officials elected <br />1 <br />
