BpOv_ 1 '?rr 9°9 1 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * MONDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1992 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, December 21, 1992, in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr., F. Hubert Garner, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and William C. Stafford, Jr. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to being in the hospital. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum present and the meeting open for transaction of business. Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided and the following business was transacted: County Attorney K.R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the December 7 and 14, 1992 meetings. After noting a change, commissioner Garner moved to adopt the minutes as the official record of said meetings. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a recommendation from the Lee County Transportation Committee to use the name of COLTS (County of Lee Transit System) as the new name for the Lee County Coordinated Transportation System. Commissioner Reives moved to accept the recommendation of the Transportation Committee. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. 1
