BpOv_ 1 '?rr 9°9 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />MONDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1992 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, <br />December 21, 1992, in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr., F. Hubert Garner, Bertha <br />L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and William C. <br />Stafford, Jr. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker was absent due to being <br />in the hospital. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum present and the <br />meeting open for transaction of business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K.R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the December 7 <br />and 14, 1992 meetings. After noting a change, commissioner Garner <br />moved to adopt the minutes as the official record of said meetings. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Lee County <br />Transportation Committee to use the name of COLTS (County of Lee <br />Transit System) as the new name for the Lee County Coordinated <br />Transportation System. Commissioner Reives moved to accept the <br />recommendation of the Transportation Committee. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />1 <br />
