0 25 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1992 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 8:00 A.M. on <br />Tuesday, December 22, 1992, in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Those present were Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr., F. Hubert <br />Garner, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert R. Reives, and <br />William C. Stafford, Jr. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker was absent <br />due to being in the hospital. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum <br />present and the meeting open for transaction of business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The Board considered the resolution adopting the schedule of <br />values. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following <br />resolution: <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING <br />SCHEDULE OF VALUES <br />WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor has prepared and submitted to the <br />Board on August 18, 1992, uniform schedule of values, standards, and <br />rules to be used in appraising real property at its true value and at <br />its present-use value as required by G.S. 105-317(b)(1); and <br />WHEREAS, said schedule of values, standards, and rules have been <br />available for public inspection in the office of the Assessor since <br />said date and due notice of said fact has been given as required by <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed schedules, standards, <br />and rules was held on Monday, December 14, 1992, after due notice by <br />publication; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed schedules, standards, and rules as <br />submitted by the Tax Assessor have been reviewed and adjusted or <br />changed by action of this Board; and <br />WHEREAS, in its adjusted or changed form the Board is ready to <br />1 <br />
