B. Commissioner Summer Meeting Schedule The Board considered a modification to the regular meeting schedule for the months of July, August, and September. Commissioner Sloan moved to modify the regular meeting schedule to meet once a month for July, August, and September, meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month except for the month of July where the Board would meet on Monday, July 23, 2018 due to scheduling conflicts with the National Association of County Commissioners Annual Conference. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan Nay: None The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. C. Request for Approval of Joint Applications from Lee County Board of Education for Lottery Funds The Lee County Board of Education has recently submitted Lottery applications for renovations to East and West Lee Middle Schools. Applications for Lottery proceeds have to be approved by both the Board of Education and the Board of Commissioners. The request for each school is $420,000 for a total of$840,000. The current budget has $685,000 for lottery projects and the FY 2018-19 budget will have a similar amount in it. There are currently enough funds in the school's allocation to cover the requested project. Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter stated that depending on the Board of Commissioners' approval and the timing of the State's approval, a budget amendment will be necessary in the future. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the joint applications from the Lee County Board of Education for lottery funds, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan Nay: None The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. D. Request for Extension of Banking Services Contract with First Citizens Bank Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter stated that based on receiving two proposals when the County went out for banking services proposals in 2013, they decided to reach out to First Citizens about an extension of the current agreement for the year instead of seeking new proposals. First Citizens has offered a one-year extension with some minor pricing modifications. Mrs. Minter stated that the County will be advertising a request for proposals next spring. Commissioner Sloan moved to approve the 1-year extension with First Citizens Bank.
