B. Commissioner Summer Meeting Schedule <br /> The Board considered a modification to the regular meeting schedule for the <br /> months of July, August, and September. Commissioner Sloan moved to modify the regular <br /> meeting schedule to meet once a month for July, August, and September, meeting on the <br /> 3rd Monday of the month except for the month of July where the Board would meet on <br /> Monday, July 23, 2018 due to scheduling conflicts with the National Association of County <br /> Commissioners Annual Conference. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br /> Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br /> Nay: None <br /> The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. <br /> C. Request for Approval of Joint Applications from Lee County Board of Education for <br /> Lottery Funds <br /> The Lee County Board of Education has recently submitted Lottery applications for <br /> renovations to East and West Lee Middle Schools. Applications for Lottery proceeds have <br /> to be approved by both the Board of Education and the Board of Commissioners. The <br /> request for each school is $420,000 for a total of$840,000. The current budget has <br /> $685,000 for lottery projects and the FY 2018-19 budget will have a similar amount in it. <br /> There are currently enough funds in the school's allocation to cover the requested project. <br /> Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter stated that depending on the <br /> Board of Commissioners' approval and the timing of the State's approval, a budget <br /> amendment will be necessary in the future. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the <br /> joint applications from the Lee County Board of Education for lottery funds, a copy of which <br /> is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the <br /> results were as follows: <br /> Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br /> Nay: None <br /> The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. <br /> D. Request for Extension of Banking Services Contract with First Citizens Bank <br /> Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter stated that based on <br /> receiving two proposals when the County went out for banking services proposals in 2013, <br /> they decided to reach out to First Citizens about an extension of the current agreement for <br /> the year instead of seeking new proposals. First Citizens has offered a one-year extension <br /> with some minor pricing modifications. Mrs. Minter stated that the County will be <br /> advertising a request for proposals next spring. Commissioner Sloan moved to approve <br /> the 1-year extension with First Citizens Bank.
