A. <br />_ Information <br />X_ Action Item <br />Meeting Date: August 13, 2007 _ Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Lee County Industrial Park <br />DEPARTMENT: Economic Development <br />CONTACT PERSON: John Crumpton, County Manager <br />REQUEST: Appropriation of $6,750 for study/engineering to begin process of <br />bringing the Industrial Park into compliance with Federal permit. <br />SUMMARY: The FY 2008-2012 Capital Improvements Program included a <br />request totaling $2,013,390 for additional work at the Lee County <br />Industrial Park. Funds were requested to resolve compliance issues <br />with Corps of Engineers, to pave the road, to add water lines, and to <br />add gravity flow lines for sewage. Funds would also cover a <br />wetlands survey. In July, Mr. Heuts requested funding to accept a <br />proposal from ECS Carolinas, LLP to develop a more cost effective <br />preliminary plan for compliance with US Army Corps of Engineers. <br />The Board removed the request from the agenda and asked that the <br />matter be reviewed by the Finance Committee. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): (1) Memo from Bob Heuts <br />(2) Draft copy of Proposed Plan for Compliance for Nationwide <br />Permit 14 <br />(3) Existing Conditions - Stream Impact Map <br />(4) Proposal from ECS Carolinas, LLP for Section 404/401 <br />Compliance <br />PUBLIC HEARING: None <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION: None <br />Approve $6,750 for study/engineering to begin process of getting <br />into compliance with Federal permit. <br />
