Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Vice Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously, <br />The Board considered zoning recommendations of the Planning <br />Board. Mr. Bob Joyce, Interim Planning Director presented <br />recommendations from the Planning Board. He stated the Planning <br />Board unanimously recommended approval of the Wake Stone Corporation <br />rezoning request to rezone a total of 208.67 acres of land on the <br />northern side of Deep River Road and West Forest Oaks Road, at Stone <br />Quarry Road, from Residential Agricultural District to Heavy <br />Industrial Conditional Use District for the location of a stone <br />quarry. The following conditions are recommended: (1) a 100 feet <br />horizontal natural, undisturbed buffer be maintained along the <br />boundary of the Deep River and that no new berms be located with this <br />100 feet buffer, (2) a 50 feet horizontal buffer be maintained around <br />the perimeter of the property and used for landscaping and screening, <br />and (3) a plan of the stone quarry showing all information mandated <br />in ARticle VII, Section 4.3 of the Lee County Zoning ordinance be <br />submitted to the Lee County Planning Department prior to the issuance <br />5 <br />
