J <br />boos 15 a 12 <br />4 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 1993 <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, <br />January 19, 1993, in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; F. Hubert Garner; Bertha <br />L. Matthews; Nathan E. Paschal; Robert T. Reives; William C. <br />J Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner Stafford declared <br />a quorum present and the meeting open for transaction of business. <br />Chairman Stafford presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Commissioner Bertha Matthews delivered the invocation. <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the January 4, <br />1993, meeting. After noting a change, Commissioner Matthews moved to <br />adopt the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner <br />Matthews moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Ms. Susan Condlin of the Cooperative Extension Office, and Mr. <br />John Payne, Recycling Coordinator, appeared before the>Board with a <br />presentation on the Master Waste Manage Program. <br />The Board considered the Planning Board's recommendation for a <br />rezoning request for Jack Maxwell to rezone 82.34 acres of land at <br />1 <br />
