1- <br />go 4 <br />POOK 15 'M1S~ <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, <br />Nay: Wicker <br />97 <br />Paschal, and Reives <br />6 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to one <br />vote. <br />The Board considered Budget Amendment # 02/01/93/12, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes, and upon this reference, made a <br />part hereof. After a brief discussion Commissioner Paschal moved to <br />approve the budget amendment. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids on surplus voting equipment. Mr. John <br />Crumpton, Finance Director, informed the Board that Scotland County <br />Board of Elections was the only County to bid on the ten (10) AVM <br />Voting Machines. The Board of Commissioners had previously <br />authorized the sale of thirty-two (32) Lever Machines. After some <br />discussion commissioner Garner moved to approve the sale of ten (10) <br />AVM Voting Machines to Scotland County Board of Elections and scrape <br />the remaining twenty-two (22) machines if the schools did not want <br />them for training purposes. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation to establish a Planning <br />Technician class (Grade 59) in the Position Classification Plan. Mr. <br />Bob Joyce, Interim Planning Director, discussed with the Board the <br />need for the new class. After some discussion Commissioner Matthews <br />moved to approve the Planning Technician class in the Position <br />Classification Plan. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted <br />The Board considered an amendment to the March <br />scheduled for the Board of Commissioners.
