The Board considered Budget Amendment # 02/01/93/12, a copy of which is attached to these minutes, and upon this reference, made a part hereof. After a brief discussion Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the budget amendment. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered bids on surplus voting equipment. Mr. John Crumpton, Finance Director, informed the Board that Scotland County Board of Elections was the only County to bid on the ten (10) AVM Voting Machines. The Board of Commissioners had previously authorized the sale of thirty-two (32) Lever Machines. After some discussion commissioner Garner moved to approve the sale of ten (10) AVM Voting Machines to Scotland County Board of Elections and scrape the remaining twenty-two (22) machines if the schools did not want them for training purposes. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a recommendation to establish a Planning Technician class (Grade 59) in the Position Classification Plan. Mr. Bob Joyce, Interim Planning Director, discussed with the Board the need for the new class. After some discussion Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the Planning Technician class in the Position Classification Plan. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted The Board considered an amendment to the March scheduled for the Board of Commissioners.
