0 <br />nUvb 42 <br />109.25 acres of the property lies on the northern side of Black's <br />Chapel Road immediately west of the Gunter Lake Estates Subdivision. <br />R. B. Lemmond, Jr., spoke in favor of the request. He wishes to <br />subdivide the property and then sell the parcels. <br />The following individuals spoke in opposition to the request: <br />Carl Pearce of 2305 Kelly Road, Apex; Edward Hall of 7325 Edwards <br />Road; David Sapp of 7508 Edwards Road; Elon Dickens of 6207 Sellars <br />Road; and Frank McDonald of County Line Road. <br />The Board then observed a short recess. Following the recess, <br />the Board convened with all four members present. <br />C. Petition by Charles Goodwin to rezone from Residential <br />Agricultural District to Light Industrial Conditional Use District <br />approximately 36 acres of land on the western side of Jefferson Davis <br />Highway for the location of a truck terminal, truck maintenance and <br />repair garage. <br />Charles Goodwin of 2901 Cool Springs Road spoke in favor of the <br />request. He wishes to relocate his family business to the proposed <br />site because of needed larger facilities. He plans to keep livestock <br />on one side of the property and build a fenced garage, parking and <br />fueling area on the other side. This will be a private facility and <br />not a normal truck stop. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />D. Petition by Clyde Burge, representing the William L. <br />Alexander estate, to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to <br />Light Industrial Conditional Use District a total of 5.2 acres of <br />land on the western side of Jefferson Davis Highway at 3132 Jefferson <br />Davis Highway for the location of manufactured homes and modular home <br />sales. <br />Clyde Burge of 1700 Westover Drive, representing the William L. <br />Alexander estate, spoke in favor of the request. The property in <br />question will be cleaned up and the house located on the site will be <br />repaired for office space. The lot will be used to sell modular <br />homes. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />E. Petition by McKibben Lane, representing Ernest and Jane <br />Miller, to rezone from Residential Agricultural District and <br />Residential Restricted District to Light Industrial District 229.1 <br />acres of land at the northwestern corner of the intersection of US <br />421, North and Cumnock Road. <br />McKibben Lane, President of Lane Reality, 3409 Wendover Avenue, <br />~1.. <br />7 <br />
