Following the Board's discussion <br />in executive session, Commissioner Garner moved the executive session <br />be closed. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and <br />the meeting was recessed for dinner. <br />Following dinner Commissioner Matthews moved that the Board hold <br />joint public hearings with the Lee County Planning Board on matters <br />of mutual concern as advertised and scheduled for this date and time. <br />Commissioners John R. Dossenbach, Jr., Robert T. Reives and Gordon A. <br />Wicker were not present. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman invited the Planning Board members to join the <br />Commissioners for the joint public hearings. Mr. Bob Joyce, Interim <br />Planning Director, and Ms. Leisa Powell, Planner I, presented the <br />following: <br />A. Petition by Marvin Berryman to rezone from Residential <br />Agricultural District to Residential Mixed Conditional Use District <br />113.4 acres of land at 4236 Colon Road for the location of one <br />additional manufactured home which, in addition to the two existing <br />manufactured homes on the property, will create a three lot <br />manufactured home park. <br />Mr. Marvin Berryman of Route 1, Box, Moncure, and Mr. Fred <br />Hawkins, Jr., of Carbonton Road were the only individuals speaking in <br />favor of the rezoning request. Mr. Berryman wishes to place a new <br />mobile home on the site for he and his family. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />B. Petition by R. B. Lemmond, Jr., to rezone from <br />Residential Agricultural District to Residential Mixed District a <br />total of approximately 233.25 acres of land. Approximately 124 acres <br />of the property lies at the southeastern corner of the intersection <br />of Black's Chapel Road and Sheriff Watson Road and approximately <br />Oil <br />6 <br />
