After some discussion <br />the following individuals were nominated as Lee County <br />representatives for the Aging Advisory Council: Ms. Wyomia Bryant <br />and Mr. Hubert Waddell were re-appointed, and Glenn Stevens and Mary <br />Lou Crissman were appointed as new representatives. Commissioner <br />Reives moved to close nominations and accept the above as <br />representatives to the Aging Advisory Council. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the bid award for operation and maintenance <br />of the FBA (Floyd Browne Associates) water plant. Interim Planning <br />Director Bob Joyce discussed with the Board the bids received. The <br />following bids were received: <br />Seacor Services, Inc. $263,664.00 <br />Hydro Management Services, Inc. 268,125.00 <br />Instrumental Services, Inc. 339,376.00 <br />Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates No Bid <br />After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to accept the low <br />bid from Seacor Services, Inc. for $263,664.00. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />It was noted at this time that Ms. Laura Young, who had notified <br />the County Manager William Cowan about speaking at the Board meeting <br />had never arrived. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to enter into executive session to <br />discuss a contractual matter.
