bou 25 „rP 59 'goh <br />PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION <br />09S) <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, <br />North Carolina, has determined that it may be in the best interest of <br />the County to allow extension of the City of Sanford water system and <br />that in order to provide such extensions it would be necessary to <br />assess all of the cost thereof upon the real property benefitted <br />thereby; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners of the County of Lee, North Carolina, that: <br />1. The street frontage of the lots served, or subject <br />to being served, by the project, at an equal rate <br />per foot of frontage; or <br />c. The number of lots served, or subject to being <br />served, by the project when the project involves <br />extension of an existing system to a residential or <br />commercial subdivision, at an equal rate per lot; <br />or <br />d. A combination of two or more of these bases. <br />3. The assessments herein provide for shall be payable in <br />cash, or if any property owner shall so elect, he shall <br />have the option of paying the assessment in five (5) <br />equal annual installments, said installments to bear <br />interest at the rate of 8 percent per annum. <br />4.
