006 <br />Boos 15 i'rSE 3G <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 1993 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, <br />February 15, 1993, in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners F. Hubert Garner; Bertha L. Matthews; Nathan E. <br />Paschal; Robert T. Reives; William C. Stafford, Jr.; and Gordon A. <br />Wicker. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., was absent. <br />Commissioner Stafford declared a quorum present and the meeting open <br />for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman Stafford presided and the following business was <br />/ transacted: <br />i/ County Attorney K. R. Hoyle, delivered the invocation. <br />The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the February 1, <br />1993, meeting. Commissioner Garner moved to adopt the minutes as the <br />official record of said meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered approval of the agenda. Chairman Stafford <br />asked the Board to add an executive session to the agenda to discuss <br />contractual matters and County Manager William Cowan requested that <br />Ms. Laura Young, a private citizen, be allowed to speak. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to change the agenda as printed to add an <br />executive session and comments from Laura Young. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Manager William Cowan discussed briefly with the Board <br />the upcoming Board of Commissioners Retreat scheduled for March 23 <br />and 24, 1993. A location for the Retreat has not been finalized as <br />1 <br />
