Commissioner Matthews moved <br />to approve the Resolution authorizing execution of a License <br />Agreement with Norfolk Southern Railway and acknowledging assignment <br />and assumption of a Waste Water Agreement with Golden Poultry <br />Company. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution honoring Billy Ray Cameron who <br />resigned his position with Lee County as Director of Emergency <br />Services effective March 22, 1993, a copy of which is attached to <br />these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner <br />Reives moved to approve the Resolution honoring Billy Ray Cameron. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Resolution to the Local Development Law <br />to make it applicable to Lee County. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle <br />appeared before the Board and answered questions. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved the adopted of the following resolution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1. That the legislative delegation representing Lee <br />County in the General Assembly is requested to secure the enactment <br />of a change to North Carolina General Statute 158-7.1 (dl) to make <br />the provisions of that subsection applicable to Lee County. <br />SECTION 2. The actions of any Commissioner, the County <br />Manager, or his staff taken prior to the deadline for local <br />legislation in furtherance of the accomplishment of the goal stated <br />in Section 1 is hereby ratified and approved. <br />SECTION 3.
