Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the Resolution authorizing execution of a License Agreement with Norfolk Southern Railway and acknowledging assignment and assumption of a Waste Water Agreement with Golden Poultry Company. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a Resolution honoring Billy Ray Cameron who resigned his position with Lee County as Director of Emergency Services effective March 22, 1993, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Resolution honoring Billy Ray Cameron. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a Resolution to the Local Development Law to make it applicable to Lee County. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle appeared before the Board and answered questions. Commissioner Dossenbach moved the adopted of the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County as follows: SECTION 1. That the legislative delegation representing Lee County in the General Assembly is requested to secure the enactment of a change to North Carolina General Statute 158-7.1 (dl) to make the provisions of that subsection applicable to Lee County. SECTION 2. The actions of any Commissioner, the County Manager, or his staff taken prior to the deadline for local legislation in furtherance of the accomplishment of the goal stated in Section 1 is hereby ratified and approved.
