0 0 LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Resolution To Open A Credit Card Bank Account With First Citizens Bank & Trust Company WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners has authorized certain expenditures for travel in their annual budget and travel policy; and WHEREAS, the use of a credit card for certain expenditures under the annual budget and travel policy would provide an efficient means for payment; and WHEREAS, the Chairman of the County Board of Commissioners, County Manager, Economic Development Director, and Finance Officer, will be responsible for the safekeeping and use of the credit cards consistent with State Law and Local ordinances and policies; and WHEREAS, the County Finance Officer will be responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the billing statement and will ensure that all expenditures made with the credit cards are authorized by the annual budget. In addition, the Finance Officer will ensure that a sufficient unencumbered amount is available in the budget for payment of the expenditures as required by the Local Government Budget and Fiscal Control Act: and WHEREAS, purchases made with the credit cards are to be for County business purposes only. Any unauthorized expenditures with the cards shall be the responsibility of the employee signing the receipts. Any misuse of credit cards could result in disciplinary action consistent with the County Personnel Policy; Now Therefore, The Board Of Commissioners Of The County Of Lee hereby authorize the Commission's Chairman to make application with the First Citizens Bank for a credit card account and authorize the Chairman, County Manager, County Economic Development Director, and the County Finance Officer to use and sign the cards on behalf of the Countv.
