Following the Board's discussion in executive session, commissioner Paschal moved the executive session be closed. Chairman Stafford moved to recess the meeting for dinner and to reconvene at 7:00 P.M. for the scheduled public hearings. Upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting recessed in keeping with the motion. The meeting reconvened at 7:00 P.M. in the Multipurpose Room at the Lee County Enrichment Center, 1615 South Third Street, Sanford, North Carolina, with Commissioners Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker in attendance. Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr., called the meeting to order and presided. The following business was transacted: County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. Commissioner Matthews moved that the Board hold a public hearing on the Southern Road water line extension. Upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Interim Planning Director Bob Joyce appeared before the Board and gave an update on the Southern Road water situation. Buck Harris of 1914 Larkspur Drive, property owner on Southern Road, was the spokesperson for the residents and spoke in favor of the water line extension. 22 3
