0 0 goo, 1r P"'4 16i <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following Resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for Lee County desires <br />to repeal and rescind all action taken to conduct a reappraisal of <br />real property earlier than required by subsection (a) of N.C. General <br />Statute 105-286; NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County <br />as follows: <br />Section 1. That the motion previously adopted on Monday, <br />November 20, 1989, providing for a valuation date of January, 1993, <br />and revaluation every four years thereafter and for the purchase of <br />computer software be amended by rescinding subsection A thereof which <br />provides for a valuation date of January 1, 1993, and every four <br />years thereafter. <br />Section 2. That the resolution adopted on Tuesday, <br />December 22, 1992, which adopted a schedule of values be rescinded. <br />Section 3. That the order issued by the Chairman pursuant <br />to the resolution adopted on December 22, 1992, which ordered the Tax <br />Assessor to follow the new schedule of values be recalled and <br />rescinded. <br />Section 4. That any and all action taken by the Board to <br />conduct a reappraisal of real property earlier than required by <br />subsection (a) of North Carolina General Statute 105-286 in addition <br />to those enumerated in other sections of this resolution be rescinded <br />provided, however, this shall not apply to any action which provided <br />for the purchase of supplies or equipment which has been incurred or <br />expended. <br />Section 5. This resolution shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its adoption. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been approved unanimously. <br />County Attorney K.R. Hoyle presented a Proclamation, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part <br />hereof, declaring the week of May 9 - 15, 1993, as National Fitness <br />Week.
