Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman gave the Board a report on the <br />recent revaluation and answered questions of the Board. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle gave a report to the Board on recent <br />complaints that citizens of Cumnock had concerning Golden Poultry. <br />The Board observed a ten minute recess. Upon returning from the <br />recess, with all members present, the Board considered a request for <br />recertification of the Mid-Carolina Private Industry Council. <br />Administrative Services Director Bob Joyce discussed with the Board <br />the Private Industry Council (PIC) recertification request and <br />answered questions of the Board. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to <br />approve the PIC Recertification Request, a copy of which is attached <br />to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been approved unanimously. <br />The Board considered matters relating to the Lee County Senior <br />Services Department. Pam Adams, Director of Senior Services <br />requested the Board approve the Home and Community Block Grant in the <br />amount of $196,842.00 to be used to provide transportation, <br />congregate and home delivered meals, in-home aide services, <br />information and case assistance, senior center operation, <br />neighborhood advisory and health promotion. A local match of <br />$21,877.00 is required. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the <br />Home and Community Care Block Grant.
