Upon a vote of committee members, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Reives and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Building, Grounds & Utilities Committee reviewed the draft of the minutes of the May 20, 1993, meeting. Commissioner Matthews, Chairperson of the Committee, moved to adopt the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Upon a vote of committee members, the results were as follows: Aye: Garner, Matthews and Paschal Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board reviewed the draft of the minutes of the regular May 17, 1993, meeting. Commissioner Wicker moved to approve the minutes as the official record of said meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered approval of the agenda. Commissioner Stafford asked that members of the audience be allowed to speak in reference to the Arts Center when the item was discussed. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the agenda as printed with the above change. The Board considered recommendations on the Lee County Arts Center. Commissioner Matthews gave a report on the last Building, Grounds & Utilities Committee meeting and their recommendations for this project. The following individuals spoke in favor of renovating the Arts Center: Mary Lou Abele, Guy Boger, Ron Williams, Bill Freeman, Alice Ann Ford and Tommy Mann, Sr. After some discussion Commissioner Matthews moved to instruct Administrative Services 003 2
