003 <br />aooK 15 onr,~ 224, <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Bob Joyce, Administrative Services Director, gave the Board a <br />report on the Beulah Brown Road CDBG Project. After much discussion <br />commissioner Dossenbach moved to terminate the contract with Skip <br />Green & Associates and complete the grant by using county staff. <br />After further discussion Commissioner Reives made a substitute motion <br />to table the matter until funding for the project can be obtained. <br />Upon a vote of the substitute motion the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: Dossenbach and Wicker <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried with a five to two vote. <br />Commissioner Reives made a further motion to request that the <br />Economic Development Coordinator Bob Joyce provide a work schedule <br />and funding schedule for the remaining work to be completed on the <br />project to be presented at the next meeting in July, invite Skip <br />Green to attend the July meeting, provide the Board with information <br />as to who will actually do the work and to proceed with the project. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a date and time for a public hearing to <br />consider eliminating Article XIII, Administrative and Legal <br />Provisions, Section 3, Temporary Occupancy Permit for Class B and <br />Class C Manufactured Homes from the Lee County Zoning Ordinance. <br />After some discussion commissioner Dossenbach moved to set the public <br />hearing for 7:00 P.M. on July 15, 1993. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford <br />and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board took a ten minute recess. Upon returning from the <br />recess, with all members present, members of the Board of Education <br />joined the Board of Commissioners for a joint meeting. Representing <br />the Board of Education were Ruth B. Gurtis, Chairperson; Joan J. <br />Wagoner; Jan Perkinson; Eugenia Thompson, Ellen Tyner; James Womack; <br />Phil Yarborough; and Attorney Mike Crowell. Finance Officer John <br />Crumpton discussed the County's financial status with the Boards, <br />along with discussion of over-crowding at East and West Lee Middle <br />2 <br />
