After some discussion Commissioner Paschal moved to <br />reinstate the $10,000 to the Deep River Rural Fire Department and <br />$15,000 to the Northview Rural Fire Department for FY 1993-94. Upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been approved unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following Resolution <br />and procedure for adoption of the Capital Improvements Program: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee County <br />that the document entitled "Lee County, North Carolina, Capital <br />Improvements Program, Fiscal Year 93/94 - 97/98" which consists of a <br />one (1) page introduction, a three (3) page summary index, a one (1) <br />page project ranking system, a ninety-three (93) page Capital <br />Improvements Program, and a six (6) page comparison of programs for <br />the period 1990 thru 1993 is hereby approved and adopted as the <br />official Capital Improvements Program for Lee County for the period <br />from July 1, 1993, until June 30, 1998. <br />Upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been approved unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the budget Ordinance which <br />includes a 7 cent tax increase from 78 cents/$100 to 85 cents/$100, a <br />copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made <br />a part hereof. Upon a vote the results were as follows. <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been approved unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews had to leave the meeting at this time for <br />a doctors appointment. <br />County Manager William Cowan introduced Warren Lee, new <br />Emergency Services Director for Lee County to the Board at this time. <br />He began his employment with the County on June 28, 1993. <br />The Board considered a Central Banking Services Resolution and <br />Agreement with Southern National Bank, a copy of which is attached to <br />these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
