The Board considered a request from the School Board for Capital <br />Outlay funds to the school system. Interim School Superintendent <br />James P. Harrell and Finance Director Susan Hawks answered questions <br />of the Board. After some discussion Commissioner Dossenbach moved <br />the adoption of a Resolution to release an additional $384,885.00 in <br />Capital Outlay funds to the Board of Education and that the Finance <br />Office be directed to prepare a budget amendment to amend the schools <br />Capital Outlay budget to allocate the funds previously appropriated <br />($40,000 - Deep River A/C Project and $60,000 - Capital Outlay) <br />together with these funds as follows: <br />CATEGORY I - CONSTRUCTION & IMPROVEMENTS <br />Deep River A/C Project <br />Warren Williams Roof <br />CATEGORY II - FURNITURE & <br />Instructional Equipment fo <br />Non-Instruction Equipment <br />Furniture Replacements for <br />Furniture - Administration <br />$40,000.00 <br />44,885.00 <br />EQUIPMENT <br />r Schools $100,000.00 <br />75,000.00 <br />Schools 79,000.00 <br />41,000.00 <br />CATEGORY III - VEHICLES <br />Vehicles $105,000.00 <br />TOTAL $484,885.00 <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Building, Grounds <br />and Utilities Committee to request that the City of Sanford provide <br />water at no charge to flush water lines at Riddle Road and Friendship <br />Village. Commissioner Matthews, Chairperson of the Building, Grounds <br />and Utilities Committee, asked that this item be tabled until the <br />Building, Grounds & Utilities Committee could discuss further at <br />their next meeting. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle gave the Board a report from the <br />Board of Elections concerning an election of the Cameron Fire <br />District on July 13, 1993.
