30 <br />Planner Leisa Powell presented two recommendations from the Planning <br />Board. She stated the Planning Board unanimously recommended <br />approval of the final plat of Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the Deer Run <br />Subdivision submitted by Jack Maxwell. Commissioner Dossenbach moved <br />to accept the recommendation of the Planning Board. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mrs. Powell stated the Planning Board unanimously recommends <br />approval of the final plat of Doe Run II Subdivision submitted by <br />Lloyd Atkins. Commissioner Garner moved to accept the Planning <br />Board's recommendation. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a Voting Delegate for the 1993 NCACC Annual <br />Conference to be held in Durham County on August 12-15, 1993. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to appoint William C. Stafford, Jr. as the <br />Voting Delegate for Lee County. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for the proposed renovations to the <br />Wilrik Building. Ed Peele, from Dixon-Gibson Engineering was present <br />and answered questions of the Board. Three bids had been received <br />for the renovations at a much higher cost than estimated. Ed Peele <br />was requested to get in writing that bids would be good for ninety <br />(90) days (good through September 7, 1993). After much discussion <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the School Board look into moving <br />to the Bragg Street School at what would be the least expensive way <br />that we can accomplish that at this point. After further discussion <br />it was decided that the Lee County Board of Education must let the <br />Commissions know by September 7, 1993 where it intends to move its <br />Administrative offices from the Wilrik Building. Upon a vote of <br />commissioners Dossenbach's motion, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />08 <br />7 <br />
