Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommended rate for contract <br />transportation services during FY 1993-94 at $1.15 per mile. This is <br />a $.04 reduction from the FY 1992-93 rate, Debbie Davidson, <br />Chairperson of the Lee County Transportation Committee told Board <br />members. Commissioner Garner moved to approve the rate for contract <br />transportation services at $1.15. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request of $47,611.00 for the receipt of <br />the FY 1993-94 Federal Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) funds. <br />Pam Adams, Executive Director of the Enrichment Center told the Board <br />that up to 33 Nursing Aide I students would be trained for employment <br />with these funds if approved. After some discussion, Commissioner <br />Garner moved to approve the receipt of the JTPA funds for FY 1993-94. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dossenbach, Garner, Matthews, Paschal, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from the Deep River Volunteer <br />Fire Department to appoint two individuals to their Relief Fund Board <br />of Trustees. Commissioner Paschal moved to appoint Norma Miller for <br />a one-year term and Tony Ragan to a two-year term on the Deep River <br />Volunteer Fire Department Relief Fund Board of Trustees.
