Stafford, Jr. joined the meeting at this <br />time. <br />The Board considered an appeal of a value on a private vehicle <br />from Charles Butcher. Tax Administrator Nathan Crissman was present <br />and answered questions of the Board. After some discussion it was <br />decided for Mr. Crissman to contact Mr. Butcher, look at the <br />automobile in question and discuss at the next Board of Commissioners <br />meeting. <br />The Board considered County of Lee Transit Services (COLTS) <br />request for funds allocated to Lee County for transportation needs <br />for FY 1993-94. Debbie Davidson, Chairperson of the Lee County <br />Transportation Committee, answered questions of the Board. The <br />Public Transportation and Rail Division of North Carolina Department <br />of Transportation has allocated Lee County $17,346.00 in FY 1993-94 <br />funding for Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance (E&D TAP), <br />and $3,207.00 in Medicaid Transportation Assistance (MTAP) for <br />pregnant women and children on Medicaid. The State provides 100% of <br />the funding with no local match required. The following <br />recommendations were made as to how the funds would be allocated: <br />Center for Independent Living <br />Lee County Industries <br />Lee County Senior Services <br />COLTS - For Public Access to <br />Treatment Facilities for <br />Physical Health Purposes <br />Lee County Department of <br />Social Services <br />$2,449.00 (E&D TAP) <br />2,449.00 (E&D TAP) <br />2,448.00 (E&D TAP) <br />Medical <br />10,000.00 (E&D TAP) <br />3,207.00 (MTAP) <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the grant and the above <br />recommendations.
